Take your game to the next level with the Watersley Hockey Development Sessions. Session 1 runs December 21 and 22, 2026, the first in a series that continues with Session 2 on April 24 and 25. These sessions are built for ambitious U13 players who want to grow, on and off the ice.
Head coach Mike Pellegrims leads the program, backed by a full team of assistant coaches, strength and conditioning staff, a physiotherapist, a nutritionist and a psychologist. Every athlete gets an individual physical screening and a personal Watersley Athletic Development Profile. We measure to develop, not to select.
The Watersley holistic approach
We look at the athlete beyond the ice. Every session combines:
- Hockey: skating, puck skills, decision making, game awareness
- Athletic development: strength, speed, agility, coordination, movement
- Performance & lifestyle: nutrition, hydration, sleep, recovery
- Personal development: mental and social growth, education, fun
Throughout the session, you’ll stay at the Watersley Sports & Talentpark and train at the Glanerbrook Ice Arena. The program combines ice practice, off-ice training and workshops in one connected experience.
Spots are limited to 22 athletes, to guarantee a quality experience for every player. The Development Sessions are not a selection: they prepare you for the next step, the Watersley Hockey Academy.

A professional, top-organized Watersley Prep Camp, where you get pushed continuously, on and off the ice, to get the most out of yourself. Thanks to the intensive and instructive approach, this is the perfect way to make big steps forward.
