The Simac Ladies Tour 2022 has started again. During the Simac Ladies Tour, a varied stage schedule will be visited with Lelystad, Ede, Landgraaf, Sittard-Geleen and finally Arnhem. Compared to last year, the organization has shifted its emphasis slightly. There will be an individual time trial, which will take you over hilly terrain in Sittard-Geleen and will cross the finish line at our own Watersley Sports & Talentpark. The final of the Simac Ladies Tour will be held in the Posbank area. The Ladies Tour will take place between August 30 and September 4, 2022.
The first ride took place on August 30 in Lelystad. A stage of 141.2 kilometers was run on this opening day. Stage two was in Ede on 31 August. For this race, a stage of 117.8 kilometers was chosen. Stage three took place on September 1 in Gennep. With a stage over 139.1 kilometers. Stage four will take place on September 2 in Landgraaf. This stage has many climbs which can lead to a battle as to who will be the real queen of the stage.
On 3 September, the individual time trial will take place in Sittard-Geleen. During stage 5, the riders are presented with a sloping course of 17.8 kilometers with two nasty climbs. The route goes for a large part through the municipality of Beekdalen.
The start is just outside Munstergeleen, on the Botkuilweg, and the finish will take place at our own Watersley Sports & Talentpark. This individual time trial is more selective than in previous years, especially after the tough stage the day before. The first rider will start around 11:45 AM and the last rider is expected to cross the finish line at Watersley at 2 PM. At 2:15 PM the ceremony will take place at Watersley Sports & Talentpark. You are cordially invited to attend the ceremony after cheering for your favorite.
The final stage will take place in Arnhem on September 4. This will conclude the six-day-long Simac Ladies Tour.
We would like to wish the ladies good luck with the upcoming races of the Simac Ladies Tour. We will be cheering you on September 3rd at the finish at Watersley. Feel free to come and have a look tomorrow to cheer on your favorite rider.
